How BROXO Premium Regeneration Salts Are Made

The raw material used for the manufacture of Salt Specialties salt products is produced along the following procedure:

The salt is extracted from the European Zechstein Sea, which dried up millions of years ago. Dissolution of salt in natural underground deposits with drinking quality water.

Purification of this solution (brine).

Crystallization of the salt from brine by boiling in a multi-effect evaporation line at 120 °C and 1.2 bars.

Centrifugation for removal of mother liquor.

Further drying by means of fluid bed dryers.

Sieving of salt into three main fractions: Extra Fine, Fine and Medium.

This process makes vacuum salt a very pure product with almost no impurities compared to less refined sea salt or rock salt. This process yields very high purity, quality-controlled salt that is ready for compacting in to salt tablets.

High quality vacuum salt perfect for compacting

It starts with a uniform crystals, to make the best compacted salt. The efficiency of the water softening system is the quality of the salt.

Sea salt and rock salt contain impurities of their own which may not only hamper ion exchange but also affect the overall purity of the softened water. That is why BROXO products are produced from vacuum salt, with the highest purity.
